Picture The Guardian

The escaped lynx, Flaviu, from Dartmoor Zoo Park is being tracked by professional field trackers using Quantum XQ50 and XD50S thermal imagers supplied by Scott Country International via the exclusive UK Distributor for Pulsar, Thomas Jacks Limited.

This is a BBC report on the current status of the search and an insight into how the team are trying to find Flaviu.

The Guardian reports:
"The kit being used is a handheld device called a Pulsar Quantum, which can pick up body heat from the grass where an animal has been lying. The equipment is also capable of taking video and stills"
