MERGER LRF XT50: Thermal Imaging Binoculars with Built-in Laser Rangefinder
MERGER LRF XT50 ensures an unrivalled thermal imaging experience. For image capture, Merger binoculars use professional-grade, European-made thermal imaging 12 micron 1280x1024 pixel sensor which gives high-definition image quality.
Optical magnification of the unit can be increased by means of digital zoom. Even at the highest level of zoom image detail is sufficient for identifying the smallest object details. Advanced algorithms enhance image quality and help to achieve sharp and detailed image.
Merger LRF XT50 is the first Pulsar device to have an image stabilization feature, designed to improve your experience while working at larger magnifications and following distant objects. By eliminating motion blur and the negative effects of shaky hands, image stabilization allows rapid switching between targets, easier tracking of fast-moving animals, and prevents them from escaping the field of view. The feature, which you can turn on with a long press of the UP/ZOOM button, also helps you to record more stable videos, enjoy a sharper image, and an overall more comfortable observation.
Wide field of view of 17.5° simplifies scanning and spotting hot objects while minimizing effects of image shaking and raising situational awareness. Excellent image detail on base magnification combined with wide field of view ensure improved viewing comfort and scene perception.
Use the brightness and contrast adjustments to maximise the detail and informative value of the image in specific observation conditions. The User Mode function saves selected brightness and contrast settings in the device's memory providing optimal image quality for the next use of the thermal imager immediately, with no additional adjustments needed.
Powerful germanium optics combined with professional thermal imaging sensors provide exceptional detection capabilities. Top Merger LRF units can detect hot objects at distances exceeding 2km.
Merger LRF thermal imaging binoculars are built with the classic design of daytime binoculars. With a small form factor, these thermal imaging binoculars fit comfortably in the hand, but still offer appealing external aesthetics and exemplary ergonomics. The six function buttons are placed in the comfort access zone and the most used digital device functions are activated with a single touch.
The Merger LRF binoculars’ optical design takes into account the nature of human vision. It is natural for a person to receive visual information through two visual channels simultaneously. Viewing with two eyes is less tiring than viewing with one. This means better detection of small or faint objects, and better performance in low-contrast scenarios than similar monocular thermal imaging devices with the same technical level. The interpupillary distance in the Merger LRF binoculars is adjustable from 63 to 74 mm in accordance with the individual characteristics of a particular user.
Understanding the target distance is an essential factor in making the right decisions. A built-in laser rangefinder allows you to measure distances in single measurements and continuous scanning modes with an accuracy of ± 1 meters for quick and error-free assessment of the situation.
The MERGER LRF XT50 is powered with two rechargeable batteries: one built-in with a capacity of 4 Ah, the other replaceable with a capacity of 3.2 Ah. A single charge guarantees long battery life.
Selection of the signal amplification level combined with new filtration algorithms with fine brightness and contrast adjustments offers the hunter great opportunities for long-range observation in diverse weather and temperature conditions. Amplification setting helps to define animal’s trophy features and ensures clear rendering of objects and background in the field of view.
Germanium F50/1.0 lens features high infrared transmission in the LWIR range. Due to the high precision manufacturing of the optical elements of the lens, the image generated by the Merger LRF thermal imaging binoculars sensor is distinguished for its clarity and detailing.
Merger LRF is designed for constant, often hard use. A magnesium alloy housing is light and strong at the same time. The housing reliably protects the internal components of a thermal imaging device from shocks, drops, moisture, heat or cold. At the same time, a metal housing effectively removes the heat from electronics and increases consistency of the device operation during long-term observation.
The Merger LRF has a built-in video recorder. The internal memory of Merger LRF can store hours of video and tens of thousands of photos. One touch of a button is enough to take a photo of an interesting scene or start recording video. The footage is copied to a computer hard drive via a USB-C port. The Merger LRF owner has a free 64 GB disk space for storing photos and videos captured with the device in the Pulsar cloud storage. Simply install the Stream Vision 2 mobile application, log in and connect the device with a smartphone via Wi-Fi.
Built-in Wi-Fi connects the Merger LRF to Android and iOS smartphones via the Stream Vision 2 mobile application. This opens up a wide range of options including wireless device software updates, real-time image transmission from the device to the smartphone screen, publication on social media of photo and video content captured by the device or transfer to messengers, remote control of digital device functions and access to the latest news from Pulsar. Moreover, registered users receive 16 GB of cloud storage for photos and videos recorded with the device.
In Merger LRF thermal imagers, the standard smartphone connection frequency range via a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi channel is complemented with an effective 5 GHz range. The 5 GHz connection offers better bandwidth, a faster data transfer rate, noise immunity and improved connection stability, resulting in more productive and easier operation of the thermal imager with a smartphone.
While the Merger’s HD AMOLED displays deliver crisp, richly contrasted, vividly colored field of view, AMOLED technology ensures flawless, fluid, high-resolution image, and power saving.
A choice of 8 colour palettes lets the user observe their field of view more effectively, allowing them to optimise the unit for specific tasks as well as react to changing observation conditions. White Hot, Black Hot and Red Hot are optimal for object detection, Rainbow and Ultramarine help increase chances for recognition & identification. Red Monochrome, Sepia and Violet are most suitable for long observation in the night.
IPX7 waterproof-rated for protection from heavy rainfall, snow or other precipitation. The unit is designed to run flawlessly, even after submersion in up to 1 meter of water for up to 30 minutes.
Housing, power unit, optics and electronics of Merger LRF are designed with regard to applications in wide range of temperatures. Merger ensures reliable and effective performance in freezing cold up to -25°C.
Observation in the dark requires being covert, so that hunted animals are not alerted by your presence. Going to stand-by using Display Off feature is a usual way to prevent backlight from the eyepieces. To simplify this task Merger LRF has a built-in proximity sensor.
It acts as a display switch for preventing backlight exposure in the dark. When the unit is taken away from the eyes, proximity sensor switches both displays off and when the unit is brought closer both displays are switched on offering excellent image quality.
Interchangeable standard power supplies for Axion, Merger, Digex, Proton, Talion and Thermion devices.
