Thermion Duo DXP50: A modern way of hunting

Yukon Advanced Optics Worldwide is pleased to announce the release of the Thermion Duo DXP50, the first multispectral hunting riflescope by Pulsar. It combines the effectiveness of thermal imaging detection at any time of the day with the comfort of full-colour daytime observation. The synergy of modern technologies results in enhanced observation informativeness and opens a new page in the history of Pulsar hunting optics.

Dual convenience

The Thermion Duo DXP50 is based on the best solutions and components of our flagship riflescope – the Thermion 2 XP50 Pro. Only now it comes with the turret that works as a 4k full-colour channel for daytime hunting.

Be it rain, fog or any unfavourable weather conditions – nothing will prevent this scope from locating your game and revealing its trophy qualities. The 4k resolution digital camera is perfect for clear identification and precise assessment of a target and its surroundings in full colour.

It requires only one click of a button to switch between the two channels – thermal and daytime digital. It’s simple, fast and convenient.

Using the Thermion Duo DXP50 as a daytime riflescope is simple and easy as the lens does not require focusing. The daytime digital channel clearly frames objects at distances of 10 meters and over.

Moreover, it features an equal field of view for both thermal and digital channels. This match up changes a lot. You can easily switch between thermal and digital without compromising focus on the observed object and uncover even more levels of information.

Sensitivity to the smallest detail

The new riflescope is equipped with a high-sensitivity European-made Lynred sensor with < 25 mK NETD which captures minimal temperature differences when observing in low temperature contrast conditions such as rain or fog.

The 640x480 pixel resolution ensures exemplary detail and identification of the target and the surrounding landscape.

The size of the sensor allows for a wide field of view for comfortable and informative observation of both static and dynamic scenes.

High-precision focusing

Just like the Thermion 2 LRF, the Thermion Duo DXP50 features high-precision ambidextrous focusing knobs. They now come with a fin lever, which perfectly does the job for precise focusing of the thermal channel. Positioned on both sides of the scope, the knobs make this device comfortable for both left- and right-handed users.

High-definition digital zoom allows the hunter to zoom-in with up to eight times magnification without losing image quality—ideal for long-distance shooting.

More excitingly, the Thermion Duo DXP50 features one-shot freeze zeroing for both optical channels.

Combined use of thermal and digital

The potential of the high-sensitivity sensor is fully revealed in the thermal imaging channel with the fast aperture F50/1.0 germanium lens. This ensures the highest detection efficiency under any weather conditions at any time of the day.

The Picture-in-picture function enables simultaneous display of images from both optical channels, prioritizing the thermal or digital image.

Advanced image processing

The Thermion Duo DXP50 implements modern algorithms that open a new level in image detail, clarity and contrast. Using a wide range of mid-tones, it is possible to render complex and highly informative scenes.

A smoothing filter and brightness and contrast adjustments ensure comfort for longer periods of observation. The daytime channel offers ideal image perception under both sunny and cloudy conditions.

The Thermion Duo DXP50 has outstanding observation range capabilities – an object as tall as 1.8 meters can be detected at 1800 meters in complete darkness. During the day, the scope’s thermal imaging channel helps locate game despite fog, haze or tall grass deep in the forest.

With this riflescope you’ll be able to hunt for up to 6 hours on a single battery charge. The Thermion Duo DXP50 is powered with two rechargeable batteries: one built-in and a replaceable one. The external battery is quick and simple to replace even in complete darkness.

The new riflescope adds an appealing visual aesthetic to any hunting weapon. It resembles a classic daytime sight mounted on standard 30mm rings. It’s a flexible and time-proven solution.

High-end multimedia set

Last but not least, the Thermion Duo DXP50 offers all the top multimedia functions you could expect from a modern hunting tool: from photo and video recording to improved WiFi connectivity and Stream Vision 2 application integration with your iOS or Android devices.

The scope is completely waterproof and functions perfectly in conditions of high humidity or heavy rain and can operate in a wide range of temperatures, from -25 to +50.
