With Axion 2 devices, Pulsar has once again proved to be the pioneer of thermal vision technology. The improved algorithms of the Axion 2 XQ result in a superior image quality and significantly prolonged operating time. The spotter with built-in precision laser rangefinder gives the hunter an eagle-eyed sense of distance which is essential for making the right call. And with its high-quality reinforced magnesium alloy body, this device is dependable and resistant. It is the ultimate hunting companion.
European quality
The new Axions stand out from the crowd with their high sensitivity French-made Lynred thermal imaging sensor with 384x288 pixel resolution (pixel size 17 microns). This ensures perfect detail recognition even under the harshest weather conditions when thermal contrast is extremely low. The tiniest temperature differences will be clearly visible in rainfall, fog or high humidity.
Feel confident to take your Axion with you on a long harsh trip to the forest. The device is designed for constant heavy use. The high-quality magnesium alloy body is lightweight yet robust. The housing reliably protects the internal components of the thermal imager from shock, moisture, heat and cold. Moreover, the quality metal housing effectively disperses the heat from the electronics minimising image noise and increasing operation consistency for long-term observation.
Joy for the eye: a superior image
While we all, avid nature fans, aim for the best image quality and ultimate detection efficiency, Pulsar’s 2nd generation Axions feature a powerful Germanium F35/1.0 fast aperture lens. These optics deliver high infrared transmission in the LWIR range. The high precision manufacturing of the optical lens elements result in an extremely clear and detailed image generated by the Axion 2 XQ’s sensor.
In combination with a highly sensitive Lynred sensor, the fast aperture lens provides exceptional detection capabilities. A standard 1.8 m tall object can be detected up to 1300 m away in complete darkness.
The new Axions are equipped with a high-contrast AMOLED display with improved colour rendering. You’ll be amazed at how sharp and smooth the image is.
Improved algorithms for optimal observation
We added new image processing algorithms and adjusted fine brightness and contrast which, combined with the three available image amplification levels, give great assistance in the early detection and recognition of targets under different weather and temperature conditions.
Moreover, Axion 2 XQ thermal imaging devices have a distinctively wide linear field of view of 18.2 m at a 100 m distance or an angular field of view of 10.7°. These improved spotters are perfect for viewing wide areas and observing distant objects in motion.
For an even more detailed image use the “Picture in Picture” function. An additional window will pop up at the top of the display showing the centre of the observed scene two or four times magnified.
LRF for precise decision making
The LRF version of the Axion 2 XQ has a built-in precision laser rangefinder – an essential component for understanding the target distance and making the right call. The LRF with a range of up to 1000 metres enables you to measure distances in single measurements and continuous scanning modes with an accuracy of ± 1 metres for quick and hassle-free assessment of the scenario. By knowing the precise distance, you will be able to evaluate the peculiarities of the setting, the distance and other important factors.
Space and time saving
When we say the Axion 2 XQ35 is the best bang for a buck, we mean it! The pocket-size design of the device is space-saving and comfortably lightweight – it weighs only 300 grams. The Axion is easy to grip and operate for both right- and left-handed hunters.
It is not only space-saving but also features a significantly short turn-on time: due to the fast aperture F35/1.0 lens, the device is fully functional within 5 seconds of being turned on. Quick start-up helps save battery power – you can turn it off and on in an instant when needed.
In fact, we doubled the new Axions’ operating time! A high-capacity APS5 rechargeable battery provides up to 11 hours of continuous operation of the thermal imaging device on a single charge. The battery is removed from its housing and replaced with a new one in seconds.
Keep the memories with you
We upgraded the Axion 2 XQ (as well as the LRF version) with a built-in video recorder. The internal memory can store hours of video material and tens of thousands of photos. Purchase a thermal spotter to receive 16 GB storage space for free on the Pulsar cloud.
Improved built-in Wi-Fi connectivity allows you to connect your Axion 2 XQ to Android and iOS smartphones via the Stream Vision 2 mobile application. This opens up a wide range of options including wireless device software updates, real-time image transmission from the device to a smartphone screen, posting on social media plus remote control of digital device functions and access to news streaming by Pulsar.
