Thermal Imaging Riflescopes

Trail

Thermal technology. Enhanced comfort of use

TRAIL product range includes two lines of riflescopes Trail XQ38/XQ50 and Trail XP38/XP50. The models with XQ letter index are based on the 384x288 pixel thermal imaging sensor. Top models of the line with XP index are based on a new cutting-edge 640x480 thermal sensor. Both sensors have 17 µm pixel pitch and work at 50 Hz frame rate.

Long Viewing Range

Depending on the model, Trail thermal sights provide hunting game detection (wild boar, moose, deer, or bear) at distances of 1000 meters and more.

High Resolution 640x480 Thermal Imaging Sensor

The high 640x480 pixel resolution ensures all objects within the field of view have the highest level of detail. High sensor resolution makes the smallest objects, i.e. branches, leaves, body extremities of an animal, appear exceptionally crisp and clear against the background.

Pulsar’s proprietary Image Boost Technology is comprised of software algorithms

designed to increase imaging clarity and overall image detail. Image Boost results in a sharper, more detailed field of view and enhanced object identifcation capabilities

Fully Waterproof IPX7

The Trail thermal sights can be operated in precipitation of any intensity, e.g. heavy shower or snowfall (the units have IPX7 degree of protection according to the IEC 60529).

High Shock Resistance

The Trail thermal sights feature high shock resistance and can be used with rifled hunting weapon for such cartridges as 9.3х64, .30-06, .300, .375. etc, and with smooth-bore and airsoft weapon.

"Picture-In-Picture"

“Picture-in-Picture” function provides a shooter with a possibility to display additional image region on the screen which contains several times magnified image (depending on the shooter’s choice) of a target and reticle. This allows seeing a more detailed image in the aiming area. Additional region (precise aiming frame) is situated in the top center part of the screen above the reticle. Taking just 1/10 of the total screen area additional image region allows simultaneous use of total field of view for observation.

Mobile-Friendly with Remote Control and Live Internet Streaming

The highlight of the Trail is the ability to link via Wi-Fi the device with Android and iOS based mobile units using the free mobile application Stream Vision. The Stream Vision software connects the device with Android/iOS mobile unit (smartphone or tablet) which enables you to receive footage in the real time mode, to distantly operate the device with your smartphone, as well to stream online the image captured by the device to YouTube.

More Features

Integrated Video Recorder

The Trail is equipped with a recorder which enables video shooting and image capturing at the time of observation. Video and photo files saved in the internal memory can be transferred to a PC/laptop via wired or Wi-Fi connection.

Selectable Reticle

A full complement of digitally displayed reticle solutions ensures quick target acquisition and a richly contrasting sight picture. Choose from an array of reticle patterns, colors and brightness settings.

3 Types of Zeroing Parameters Memorization

Riflescope has the function of saving three user's zeroing profiles in the memory (for different types of weapons or ammunition), in each case a different reticle can be applied. In addition, each profile allows zeroing at five different distances. Zoom zeroing support ensures particular zeroing precision.

High Image Frequency

Due to the high image frequency (50 Hz) it is comfortable to use thermal camera dynamically (during rapid moving of observer or object of observation).

Effective Temperature Stabilization of the Sensor

A radiator panel, located on the device's body, effectively prevents heat build-up from the sensor and other components while also significantly reducing temperature and noise sensitivity, especially between calibrations.

Stadiametric Rangefinder

Trail has a stadiametric rangefinder performed in the shape of rangefinding reticle which enables distance measuring to observed objects with known height (deer - 1,7 m; boar – 0,7 m; hare – 0,3 m) with a sufficient precision.

Built-In Accelerometer

A built-in accelerometer/gyroscope improves accuracy by precisely identifying cant and angles greater than 5° with an arrow indicating the direction and degree of lateral tilting. Increased angles are denoted with additional arrows. Moreover, the riflescope can be set to auto shutdown when it has a non-shooting position, the unit operation may be disabled when the vertical angle is greater than 70° or horizontal angle is greater than 30°, the accelerometer may be temporarily disabled for continued use.

Power Supply System B-Pack

Trail includes a progressive autonomous B-Pack power supply consisting of a quick-detach, rechargeable IPS5, 5.2 Ah battery pack designed to deliver over 8 hrs. of operation on maximum mode. Higher-powered IPS10 battery packs, as well as CR123A and AA battery cases, also are available and provide a perfect off-the-grid power solution.

External Power Supply

Trail makes charging from external sources, such as power banks, fast and easy with a micro-USB jack. The convenience of power-bank charging even enhances the ability to power up the Trail during extremely cold weather while also protecting the source from rapid discharge.

User-Friendly Interface

The Trail is designed with ease-of-operation in mind. User feedback has resulted in the most friendly interface to date, complete with an easy-to-read, icon-driven, alpha-numeric status bar at the bottom of the display. Internal menu items and options are also displayed on a contrasting gradient substrate so you can keep an eye on settings without losing sight of your objective.

Display Off

When it is necessary to temporarily stop observation the user can apply Display Off function. It provides the necessary level of camouflage (no light from the eyepiece of the device) between observation sessions as well as the fast restart of observation (when display is turned off, all other systems are working; for normal operation it is enough just to power on the display again).

Wide Range of Operation Temperatures

Trail thermal sights are effective for the use in low temperatures (-25°C) thanks to the frost-resistant AMOLED display employed in the unit (image remains the same as when viewing at positive temperature of the surrounding atmosphere).

Wireless Remote Control

Wireless Remote Control

The ergonomic, wireless remote control, with encoder wheel, puts the full range of Trail operation at your fingertips when comfort and convenience means taking hands-off the controls.

Updatable Software

For initial setup and additional updates, the iOS and Android compatible Stream Vision App ensures the most recent Trail software versions are available.
