THERMAL IMAGING

Versatile modular design

The Proton XQ30 thermal imager is a combination of a compact thermal imaging module and a Pulsar 5x30 B quick-release monocular, that can be used as an eyepiece. With one sweep the hunter gets a five times magnification spotting scope for natural daytime observation and a thermal imaging unit compatible with monocular type daytime optical devices. The Proton XQ30 thermal imaging module docks with daytime optics using a special PSP adaptor, converting the day optic into a thermal imaging device. A quick-release adaptor means that the Proton can be removed from, and re-installed to, a daytime spotting scope or binocular in seconds, while the precise positioning mechanism allows for the central alignment of the thermal image within the daytime optics field of view. The PSP adaptor can be mounted on the Proton XQ30 thermal imaging module even when it is used with the Pulsar 5x30V monocular from the kit. This ensures that the Proton XQ30 is easy to use in the field environment.

Highly sensitive thermal imaging sensor

Thermal imaging sensor with NETD 40mK ensures perfect detail recognition even in the hardest weather conditions when thermal contrast is low. The smallest temperature differences will be clearly visible during the rainfall, fog or cold mornings in the most difficult conditions for thermal imager.

Light-weight and compact size

When stalking each extra kilogram of hunting equipment matters. Using the Proton XQ30 is easy and intuitive regardless of which daytime optics it is connected to – a complete Pulsar 5x30 B monocular, a spotting scope or binoculars from the hunter's arsenal. The compact Proton XQ30 thermal imaging module weighs 370 grams – just enough not to have a meaningful effect for the balance of any daytime optics on which it is installed.

Shockproof magnesium alloy housing

A rugged, lightweight magnesium alloy housing has a high structural strength, protecting the Proton XQ30 from shock and vibration loads. It is resistant to external mechanical, temperature and climatic effects, the housing metal effectively removes and dissipates heat from the electronic components of the thermal imager, increasing the operation stability.

Image Detail Boost Function

Pulsar’s proprietary Image Boost Technology is comprised of software algorithms designed to increase imaging clarity and overall image detail. Image Boost results in a sharper, more detailed field of view and enhanced object identification capabilities.

Built-in Photo and Video Recorder with 16 GB Memory

The Built-in video recorder is a great asset when it comes to filming or taking photos of once-in-a-lifetime experiences. One press of the REC button captures footage that can be shared easily with colleagues, friends and family. 16 Gb of internal memory provide many hours of recorded video and tons of photos. Recorded files can be later downloaded to PC or smartphone.

Wi-Fi. Integration with IOS and Android devices

Built in Wi-Fi module provides connectivity of Proton XQ30 attachment with Android or iOS smartphones and tablets with the help of free Stream Vision application. In combination with smartphone, thermal imager offers a set of unique features such as live image streaming to smartphone, transfer and sharing of multimedia files, firmware update, remote control of unit’s settings and many other.

8 Color Palettes

The 8-color palette enhances viewing in varying conditions. While the classic White Hot mode is exceptionally versatile, Hot Black is often favored for detecting wildlife at night. Red Monochrome helps to reduce or prevent bright backlight from exiting the eyepiece. Sepia often improves long-range observation while Red Hot, Rainbow and Ultramarine enhance temperature differences of various object attributes. Violet helps to identify objects faster.

Quick-change APS 5 battery system

Quick-change high capacity rechargeable Li-Ion battery offers up to 6 hours of operation time on single charge. Fast and easy battery replacement ensures continuous observation without disruptions. Ordinary power bank connected via USB Type-C socket can be used as an external power source.

IPX7 Fully Waterproof

IPX7 waterproof-rated for protection from heavy rainfall, snow or other precipitation. The unit is designed to run flawlessly, even after submersion in up to 3 feet of water for up to 30 minutes.

Wide Range of Operating Temperatures (-25 to +50°C)

Housing, power unit, optics and electronics of Proton XQ30 are designed with regard to applications in wide range of temperatures. Proton ensures reliable and effective performance in freezing cold up to -25°C.
